Fujiwara no Tsunezane (藤原経実)
FUJIWARA no Tsunezane (1068 - November 21, 1131) was a kugyo (the top court officials) of the late Heian period. He was the third son of FUJIWARA no Morozane, Sessho (regent). His mother was the daughter of FUJIWARA no Motosada. His own children include FUJIWARA no Tsunemune and MINAMOTO no Yoshiko (wife of Emperor Goshirakawa). Shonii (Senior Second Rank), Gon Dainagon (a provisional chief councilor of state), Chugu Gon no daibu (provisional master of the Consort's Household), and Azechi (inspector of the provincial government).
According to "Chuyuki," a diary of FUJIWARA no Munetada, he liked heavy drinking with heroic samurai, in which he showed the wild side of him in that he threw small stones at neighbors in a drunken moment.
After his death, his daughter Yoshiko became the mother of Emperor Nijo, bringing good luck to the family; his legitimate son Tsunemune was promoted to Sadaijin (minister of the left) and his offspring's thrived well as the Oinomikado family, one of the Seiga family (one of the highest court noble families in Japan at that time).
